About Lynette Niles Consultancy

Our Mission

At Lynette Niles Consultancy, my mission is to strengthen safeguarding practice, promote integrity, and drive continuous improvement across children’s services. I work in partnership with local authorities, schools, and private children’s organisations to deliver independent oversight, complaint investigations, and professional challenge that promotes positive organisational change.

As an Independent Investigating Officer and Independent Person, I bring impartiality, insight, and over two decades of frontline and senior management experience to ensure every review or investigation promotes accountability, fairness, and learning for individuals, teams and organisations.

In addition, I am committed to supporting leadership and professional development, helping organisations and practitioners build confidence, emotional intelligence and resilience to sustain high quality practice and positive outcomes for the children and families they work with.

About Me

I am an experienced safeguarding and quality assurance professional with over two decades of work across children’s social care and more than 18 years in managerial roles. My experience spans all areas of children’s services, with particular expertise in child protection, safeguarding and service improvement.

I have held Service Manager roles within Quality Assurance and the Reviewing Services, LADO, Child Protection Chairing and Independent Reviewing. I have also managed multi agency teams and worked extensively in areas such as inspection readiness and SEND. These roles have given me a deep understanding of systems, practice and people, along with a strong commitment promoting integrity, fairness and solution focused leadership..

Through Lynette Niles Consultancy, I provide independent safeguarding investigations, complaints reviews and professional development for organisations seeking impartial oversight and sustainable improvement. My approach combines transparency, empathy and professional curiosity to ensure that every review, audit or investigation meets statutory expectations and leads to positive change for children, families and professionals.

I manage my workload with clarity and structure. I am methodical and highly skilled in managing competing priorities. I take pride in maintaining excellent time management and consistently meeting deadlines while delivering work to a high analytical and professional standard.

Alongside this, I offer leadership and professional development coaching  and training work shops to help practitioners and managers strengthen confidence, decision making and emotional intelligence. I am passionate about helping professionals lead with purpose, reflect openly and build resilience within complex environments.

I work with local authorities, schools and private companies and organisations across the UK, offering practical, evidence based support that promotes trust, accountability and continuous improvement.

At the heart of my work is a genuine belief that every child deserves safety, stability and the opportunity to thrive. I am driven by a commitment to fairness and to creating systems that enable professionals to do their best work with confidence and compassion. My goal is always to bring clarity, balance and integrity to every situation, supporting organisations to learn, improve and deliver the highest standards of safeguarding practice.
